Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) currently serves over 8,100 students with ASD, which accounts for approximately 21% of the district’s total Students with Disabilities population. These numbers continue to grow annually, reflecting national trends and the increasing need for specialized support. [browardschools.com]

At schools like At Park Springs Elementary, ASD classrooms are a core part of the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) offerings. Park Springs Elementary, for example, hosts:

  • Four ASD classrooms
  • A K–5 ASD special program
  • Specialized Pre-Kindergarten classes (Intensive, Behavior and Specialized)

This makes Park Springs  one of the inclusive and diverse elementary schools in the district, particularly for early learners and students with disabilities.

Services are individualized through IEPs, addressing unique academic and functional needs.
